The f-cell forum is now developing to an even greater extent into the central fuel cell congress in Germany. Now in its fourth year, the degree of national and international recognition has never been greater. More than 70 experts from industry, business, development, and politics have been invited to the symposium, the focal point of the threeday event.

Parallel to the ongoing internationalization in the fuel cell sector, the f-cell forum is developing from what was initially a national event into a congress with worldwide appeal. Appropriately, the focal point of the topics covered at this year's symposium is an examination of the leading international markets for fuel cell technology.

Alongside the numerous prominent speakers from Germany, the event organizers are expecting a great many foreign representatives to participate. A highlight here is the expected statement from the European commission, who will present their roadmap for the introduction of fuel cells. In addition, the European Fuel Cell Forum will be considering the question as to when the hydrogen economy will appear.

Other highlights include the various speakers from Asia that have been invited to explain, among other things, the Millennium Project, which is intended to enable the commercialization of fuel cells in Japan as of April 1, 2005. The Chinese view on the fuel cell industry will also be presented. To complement this, the development status in both the USA and Asia will be presented. After each of the various forums, the communication market provides the possibility for participants to engage in discussions with the speakers.

The 4th forum for producers and users, organized by the Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH (WRS) (Stuttgart Region Economic Promotion) and run by the Peter Sauber Agency in Gerlingen, will take place under the motto: "Where the future is made. Join in!" Last year, approximately 550 participants came from more than 22 nations from four continents to the Stuttgarter Haus der Wirtschaft.

This high-caliber specialist congress will be accompanied by a trade fair covering the same topic, where new developments and the first commercial fuel cells will be presented. Yet another opportunity for information exchange is provided at the evening event. The ceremony for presentation of the f-cell award will take place in the LBBW Forum, followed by a reception with buffet and entertainment. The participants will be able to ride in the fuel cell bus from the Haus der Wirtschaft to the event location.

For the first time, a tradesmen's seminar on the topic of power-heat integration is offered this year. An outstanding highlight of this year's excursion is a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Technology Center in Sindelfingen. Other stops on the excursion include the young system house Living X in Leinfelden- Echterdingen, which is equipped with a Sulzer Hexis system, as well as the laboratories of the German Center for Aerospace in Stuttgart.
