  GM to provide a glimpse of the future of transportation using fuel cells 
at Northwestern University

Larry Burns to discuss advanced automotive technologies, test-drive of the HydroGen3 

Larry Burns, GM’s vice president of research and development, and planning, will discuss the future of hydrogen fuel propulsion and GM’s broad range of advanced automotive technologies at Northwestern University. 

Media, students and faculty from Northwestern University also will have the opportunity to test-drive GM’s HydroGen3 fuel cell vehicle. HydroGen3 demonstrates how fuel cell technology can be optimized for existing automotive packages, bringing fuel cell technology further along the road to production.

Participants of this event will receive complimentary tickets to the WIRED NextFest taking place from June 23-26, 2005 at Navy Pier in Chicago.  WIRED NextFest is a unique exhibition that brings together innovations from inventors and research and development labs around the world. Created by WIRED Magazine, the exhibit centers on "the future of" seven core themes: transportation entertainment, communications, space/undersea exploration, health, design and security.   GM will present its portfolio of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, the Hy-Wire, HydroGen3 and AUTOnomy, Sequel, Hummer H2H and the Silverado GMT800 at WIRED NextFest.
