  MTI Micro Names Russel Marvin Vice President of Engineering

ALBANY, N.Y.-- MTI MicroFuel Cells Inc. (MTI Micro), the developer of the award-winning Mobion(TM) micro fuel cell technology for handheld electronic devices, announced today the appointment of Russel Marvin to Vice President of Engineering.
 
As part of the Company's focus on commercialization, Marvin will lead MTI Micro's engineering resources in the execution of product plans that support manufacturing and market entry into the military and consumer markets.

Marvin brings more than 15 years of experience in technology and product innovation to his current role. Previously, he served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Torrington Research Company where he also served as a Director and Company Secretary. His strategic and technical contributions led the company to triple operating margins in four years. Prior to Torrington, Marvin was Vice President of Engineering at Plug Power where he led a substantial technical team and worked to develop business plan requirements for Plug Power prior to its public offering in 1999. Mr. Marvin was also a Director of Engineering for Axiohm Transaction Solutions, Inc., a Project Leader for Eastman Kodak's Clinical Products Division and Senior Mechanical Engineer for NCR's printer division.

Marvin has authored 20 U.S. issued patents, and holds a bachelors of engineering degree from Clarkson University and a masters of engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
