 Millennium Cell Receives Notification of Allowance for Two U.S. Patent Applications

EATONTOWN, N.J. -- Millennium Cell Inc. (MCEL) announced today that it has received notices of allowance from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for U.S. Patent Application Publication Number 2003/0037487 A1 entitled "Portable Hydrogen Generator" and U.S. Patent Application Publication Number 2004/0067195 A1 entitled "Self-Regulating Hydrogen Generator."

"Our growing patent portfolio underscores our leadership position in the development of hydrogen energy solutions for portable devices based on sodium borohydride," commented H. David Ramm, Millennium Cell's Interim CEO and President. "With the approval of these two patents, we will have 13 U.S. and 26 patents worldwide."

Mr. Ramm concluded, "Our IP pipeline remains robust with over 50 patent applications pending worldwide, 21 of which are in the U.S. We continue to build the value of the Company around borohydride based energy systems for portable electronic devices and maintain the Company's focus on cutting edge energy delivery methods using this hydrogen rich chemical."
