General Motors Canada and Hydrogenics demonstrate next step to hydrogen commercialization
Publication Date:26-January-2005

TORONTO, Jan. 26 /CNW/ - Please join Hydrogenics and General Motors of
Canada Limited to witness a leading example of where the future hydrogen
economy is today. GM Canada and Hydrogenics will demonstrate a hydrogen fuel
cell-powered Class I forklift as well as refueling of this vehicle at an
onsite hydrogen station.

Hydrogen fuel cell-powered forklifts have shown no-compromise in
performance and produce no exhaust emissions, making this application an
important step in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping the
environment. Currently, industrial vehicles contribute almost 13 per cent of
the global total of transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions.

This project has also been made possible with funding from Sustainable
Development Technology Canada (SDTC) and the Canadian Transportation Fuel Cell
Alliance (CTFCA).
